On a random whim tonight I decided to put together an automatic hype script for http://mixify.com. I sometimes put on someone’s event while I’m doing other things and will forget to go back and click hype to show support.
What does this script do?
One of the ways the listeners at a Mixify event show appreciation to the deejay (aside from tipping them) is to “hype” the mix. You simply click the Hype button! That’s it! You get a nice flashy visualization (most of the time, it’s disabled for deejays who are running live feeds from their webcams etc), the ticker counts, and a small hype balloon pops above your avatar. Want to keep showing the deejay love? Keep clicking hype! There’s a bit of a delay as you’re only able to click hype once every ten seconds, but you can hype as much as you want. Don’t want to sit there clicking hype but want to show the love? Keep reading….
This is an auto-hype script for Mixify. It will automatically click the hype button at random intervals between 10-20 seconds. It will hype any time you are in a live room.
This will work in multiple rooms at the same time. So yes, if you have multiple rooms open in different tabs, you will be hyping in each room separately.
This will not pull your focus away from the chat input so you won’t be interrupted while typing (like when you use iMacro, etc). So chat it up with the other listeners and have a party!
This will hype no matter which room you are in. If you want it to work only in a certain person’s room you’ll need to edit the @include. If it’s not entirely apparent, feel free to ask in the comments here and I’ll help you.
If you have Firefox go install Greasemonkey here!
If you have Chrome or Opera Next, go install Tampermonkey from here!
Once you have installed one of the above (or both if you use Chrome & Firefox), you’ll need to go install the script I created. To do so just head on over to Greasyfork.org and install the script. There’s a green button that says install, click it! 😉
Note: Userscripts.org appears down. No known reason posted. As Userscripts.org has been pretty much a zombie site lately, I’ve decided to move to greasyfork.org for script hosting. Enjoy and let me know if there’s any problems!
Sit back and enjoy the music on Mixify.com and let the script do the hyping for you!
